ANy time you bake in a different size pan, check the cake after about 15 minutes, and then go by the cake after that. Write on the recipe your time for the future. If you don't use the liquor for flavor, the syrup will be fine, but not flavored. Maybe add vanilla for a little flavor instead of using plain syrup. Tami
